You’re looking to start making money from your content and stumbled upon a few options. FanCentro and OnlyFans both promise the world, but let’s break down which is better for you.
In this article, we’ll compare and contrast the two platforms so you can get a clear idea of which one would work for you. By the end of the article, you will know exactly which premium social media platform will help you grow a fan base, gain dedicated subscribers, and make a lot of money.
FanCentro is a new edition to the Centro suite that includes (but is not limited to) ModelCentro, CentroBill, and CentroProfits. With over 12 years in the adult entertainment industry, the creators of FanCentro have your best interest in mind when it comes to their platforms.
OnlyFans is one of the most popular fan club or premium social media platforms in the world. Content creators are able to monetize their photos, videos, audio files, and anything else they want to create for their biggest fans. It quickly became a household name in the early parts of 2020.
Ways models can make money on FanCentro and OnlyFans
One of the most important things to consider when choosing a fan club platform is the content you’re trying to distribute. You don’t want to start on one, only to find out that you can’t sell a product you want to create. So pay close attention to this section as these are all the ways you can make money on FanCentro and OnlyFans.
On FanCentro, influencers can make money from
- Monthly subscription wall
- Clip sales from your page
- Pay per message
- Premium Snapchat management
- Tips from fans
- Their excellent referral program (more on that later)
There are many ways to make money on OnlyFans, including
- Monthly subscription services between $4.99 and $50
- Pay per message with a $3 minimum and $100 maximum
- Creating custom content for fans
- Tips from fans with a minimum of $3 and a max of $200
- Referral program (there’s a whole section below with more detail)
As you can see, they offer very similar services. If you need a premium Snapchat membership manager, FanCentro will process payments and notify you when someone signs up as well as when they don’t renew their subscription.
OnlyFans really doesn’t offer anything you can’t do with FanCentro. For this round, we’re going to have to hand it to FanCentro.
Payout percentage & frequency for FanCentro and OnlyFans
FanCentro pays out 75% to its content creators with the other 25% going towards website maintenance, payment processing fees, and any other regular business expenses.
Models on FanCentro are paid weekly every Tuesday after their third week on the platform. There are varying minimums based on the payout method you choose
- Paxum: $50
- ACH: $100
- Check: $100
- SEPA: $290
- Wire: $1250
OnlyFans pays out 80% to its creators with the other 20% going to website maintenance, payment processing, referral payments, hosting, support, and other website needs.
For most users, there is a $20 minimum to withdraw their earnings. Content creators can make withdrawals manually every day or have automatic withdrawals weekly every Monday or on the 1st of the month.
There is is a 7 day period from the time you earn your money to the time you’re able to make a withdraw. This is to cover for any chargebacks or other fraudulent payments. For some models, this is a 21 day period, but switches to a 7 day period four months after 1st withdrawal.
We’re going to have to hand it to OnlyFans here. If it’s something they do better than a lot of programs is their payout & percentage. An industry-leading 80% is fantastic along with low minimum withdrawals and the ability to request payments daily? That’s fantastic for any model.
On top of that, there’s only a 7 day waiting period to get paid instead of three weeks.
One thing to keep in mind with FanCentro is you also have access to ModelCentro which is a website builder so you can have a whole dedicated website to you. That’s why they have a smaller percentage of payout.
Which platform helps models get more fans
Another thing you have to consider when choosing a platform is how they help the models out. Do they let you create an account and then toss you in the wild to fend for yourself or do they help you grow and promote you?
This is especially important for someone new to the industry. If you don’t already have thousands of eager fans ready to pull out their wallets, how are you going to get those fans? Established influencers don’t have to worry as much because they have the following.
But what if you want to grow?
FanCentro has a great homepage that instantly features popular models. There is a great filter also that allows users to find the newest models, most popular, and the best-selling products.
Another great part of FanCentro that helps you get promoted is their affiliate program which gives people an incentive to promote your work. You can provide images you want to be distributed and the affiliate will promote them with a special link back to your page. If someone makes a purchase, they get a percentage of that sale.
One of the biggest complaints about OnlyFans is that there is no way for accounts to be browsed. If you’re not driving traffic to your page, you’re not being discovered. This can be a major blow to brand new models that may not already have a large social media following.
There’s a big difference in discoverability on both platforms. On one hand, FanCentro makes it impossible NOT to get found. On the other hand, you have OnlyFans which does nothing to help models get discovered organically. The FanCentro affiliate program helps out immensely as well. Imagine an army of your biggest fans trying to recruit more members into your army. That’s powerful.
FanCentro has definitely earned 1st place in this category.
Which referral program is better
A referral program is a great way to diversify and increase your earnings on a platform. What this boils down to is if you recommend other models to join the platform, you can make a percentage of whatever they make. Don’t worry, this doesn’t come out of your friend’s earnings.
The FanCentro referral program pays out 10% earnings for every model you refer to the site. This is for the lifetime of the model on the platform and the 10% does not come out of the model’s earnings. There is no limit to the number of models you can refer to FanCentro.
The OnlyFans referral program pays out 5% earnings for every model you refer to the site for the first 12 months they’re on OnlyFans. There is a $50,000 earning limit you can make for every model you refer to OnlyFans. So if a model makes more than $1,000,000 in their first year, you’re capped at $50,000 for that model. There is no limit to the number of models you can refer to OnlyFans.
Not only does FanCentro have twice the earning capacity per model, they also allow for unlimited earnings for each model. Forever! That’s a clear winner.
Let’s do some math quick. Say you have 10 friends that all want to make money being content creators. They all sign up with your referral link and you quickly bring them up to $10,000 a month.
With OnlyFans, you’ll make an extra $5,000 a month for one year.
With FanCentro, you’ll make an extra $10,000 a month forever.
Which should you use FanCentro or OnlyFans
If you can’t tell by now, we’re leaning towards FanCentro this time around, especially for new models. They may have a lower overall percentage but they will help you grow and increase your followers. In turn, you’ll make more money.
If you already have a die-hard fan base that’s eager to pull out their wallet for you, OnlyFans could be a great option for you with it’s higher earning percentage and the ability to withdraw funds daily.
