Which States are Most Interested in Starting Online Sex Work?

2020. The year that brought us Tiger King, Queen’s Gambit, and The Last Dance (wait, did we do anything except watch Netflix?). Oh, and the whole losing jobs, pandemic, yadda yadda yadda. Talking about 2020 is so hacky, but we’re only human.

What it also brought us was the sheer abundance of people hopping on the OnlyFans train. Or, it seemed that way because everyone was talking about it as though everyone was doing it. So it got us thinking … what states were really getting it on?

At Cam Model Agency, we provide resources for creators in the adult industry and people interested in the adult industry. With this study, we wanted to find out which states were on average spending the most time on our website. This will help us out exactly 0% and give you the opportunity to either brag about where your state stands or denounce it. It’s all in good fun.

What states are checking out how to get into the adult industry the most?

The whole point of this website is to provide information to people who are interested in online sex work. We are an educational resource. Apart from this article you are reading right now, it’s about how to get paid by showing yourself off online.

To create this report, we turned to the data to find out which state was spending the most time on the site. Instead of looking at which states had the most visitors, which, as respected, coincides with state populations, we had to go by another metric. The average time they’re spending on the site makes sense, why else would they be interested in spending time on a sex worker’s website?

Although 110 seconds is nearly two minutes, that’s still not a lot of time to spend on a website. That’s just Google Analytics’ funky way of measuring session durations. In reality, a given article on the site gets between four and six minutes of read-time.

You can find the full chart of each state at the bottom of this post to find where your state ranks.

We pulled visitor location data from October 3rd, 2020 to October 2nd, 2021, and filtered out internal visitor data. If you’re interested in viewing the raw data, you can click here to be taken to a Google Sheets file available to view. You can make a copy of the sheet and play with it as you fit, nerd.

What were they researching?

We wanted to do a deeper dive into what esattamente each of the top 10 states was looking into. So we took that same time frame and filtered all posts by each state, then ordered from the longest average view duration to lowest.

The results are absurd.
